Wiley steps down from real estate group

Scott Wiley has stepped down as CEO of $13M-revenue CoreNet Global, effective Jan. 2, 2026. He had led the organization since January 2025. Jeri Ballard has been named interim CEO.

Wiley is departing to become CEO of the Ohio Health Care Association. Previously, he spent 12 years as president and CEO of The Ohio Society of CPAs.

Ballard most recently served as executive vice president of real estate, business operations centers and corporate travel at Shell plc, where she led global real estate and facilities management teams. She previously held senior real estate leadership roles at Shell, including vice president of global real estate strategy and portfolio, and earlier served as regional real estate manager for the Americas. She is a former member of the CoreNet Global Board of Directors.

Lott to lead art educators group

Laura L. Lott has been named executive director of the $5.7M-revenue National Art Education Association, effective December 2025. She succeeds Trevor Mitchell, who stepped down earlier this year.

Lott most recently served as administrator and chief operating officer of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Previously, she spent nearly 13 years at the American Alliance of Museums, where she served as president and CEO after earlier holding the role of chief operating officer. Earlier in her career, she held roles at the National Geographic Society and the MCI Foundation.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in business from American University.

Marrazzo named leader of infectious diseases group

Jeanne Marrazzo has been named CEO of the $32M-revenue Infectious Diseases Society of America, effective Jan. 12. She will succeed Chris Busky, who led the organization since 2016 and resigned earlier this month.

“Jeanne Marrazzo brings exactly the kind of strategic, expert leadership that is needed at this moment to guide the field as we combat infectious diseases with sound science,” said IDSA President Ronald G. Nahass.

Marrazzo most recently served as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. Previously, she was the C. Glenn Cobbs Endowed Chair in Infectious Diseases and director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, a medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Washington.

Bohnert named CEO of chemical engineers group

Victor Bohnert has been named CEO of the $50M-revenue American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He had served as interim CEO of the group following the 2024 retirement of Darlene Schuster.

“Throughout his tenure as interim CEO, Victor has provided steady, mission-focused leadership and has worked closely with our volunteers and staff to strengthen member value and advance AIChE’s long-range strategy,” said AIChE President Joseph D. Smith.

Bohnert brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across associations and nonprofit organizations. He is CEO of Innovatis Group and previously served as executive director of the International Avaya User Group and the VMware User Group. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at SmithBucklin, where he served as vice president of client management.

Van’t Hof named interim leader of solar energy group

Darren Van’t Hof has been named interim president and CEO of the $38M-revenue Solar Energy Industries Association, effective Jan. 20. He succeeds Abigail Ross Hopper, who recently stepped down after nine years at the helm.

“Darren is the right choice to serve as interim CEO because he brings continuity, consistency, and a deep understanding of SEIA’s work,” said Elizabeth Reicherts, chair of SEIA’s executive search committee.

Van’t Hof currently serves as SEIA board chair and will step down from that role to assume day-to-day leadership of the association. He brings more than two decades of clean energy and financial services experience, including senior roles at U.S. Bank and Oakland Capital Solutions.

The SEIA board of directors is conducting the search for a permanent president and CEO.

Gross named interim leader of wine group

Steve Gross has been named interim president and CEO of the $25M-revenue Wine Institute. He succeeds Robert P. Koch, who recently retired after leading the organization for more than two decades.

“Steve Gross is exceptionally well-qualified to lead Wine Institute during this important transition,” said Wine Institute Chairman Robin Baggett. “His deep understanding of our organization, the wine industry and the public policy landscape will ensure continuity and momentum as we continue our search for our next president and CEO.”

Gross has been with Wine Institute since 1986 and most recently served as vice president of state relations, overseeing the organization’s public policy and advocacy efforts across 49 states outside California. Earlier, he held a series of roles at the association, including legal assistant, administrative services manager and special assistant to the president.

The Wine Institute board has launched a national search for a permanent president and CEO and expects to complete the process by the end of the current fiscal year.

American Train Dispatchers Association— Jeffrey Robb has joined $5.1M-revenue ATDA as director of government affairs. He most recently served as a PAC administrator and legislative aide in the transportation trades department of the AFL-CIO.

Business Software Alliance — David London has joined $29M-revenue BSA as senior director of U.S. state government relations. He previously served as vice president of state policy and politics at TechNet and has also held senior government relations roles at Coinbase and DoorDash.

Catholic Health Association — Lucas Swanepoel has been promoted to vice president of advocacy and public policy. He joined the $28M-revenue association in 2019 and most recently served as senior director of government relations.

Mortgage Bankers Association — Alexandra Brinton has joined $60M-revenue MBA as vice president and chief financial officer. She most recently served as controller at the American Association of Airport Executives and previously held controller roles at NCTA – The Internet & Television Association, The Conservation Fund and InterAction.

National Association of Realtors — Bennett Richardson has been promoted to chief marketing and communications officer at $361M-revenue NAR. He most recently served as senior vice president of marketing and communications.

Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America — Zach Sentementes has been promoted to deputy vice president of federal advocacy at $521M-revenue PhRMA. He previously served as senior director of federal advocacy.

Public Affairs Council — Kristin Brackemyre has been promoted to vice president of member success and practice at $7.7M-revenue PAC. She joined the organization in 2018 and most recently served as senior director of the public affairs practice.

            Additionally, Laura Horsley has been promoted to vice president of strategic communications and marketing. She joined the organization in 2016 and most recently served as senior director of marketing and communications.
